01 The challenge
Each marketplace has its own catalogue templates, image rules, category approvals, fee structures and ad tools. Selling on two or three at once multiplies the work — prices drift out of step, stock runs out on one platform while sitting idle on another, and listings get suppressed without anyone noticing. Without a clear process, a promising sales channel turns into daily firefighting.

04 In depth
Why marketplaces need ongoing work
Getting a product live on Flipkart or Meesho is the easy part. Getting it found and chosen among similar listings is harder. Each marketplace ranks products using its own signals — relevance, sales history, price, delivery speed, ratings and listing quality — and shoppers decide in seconds. A rushed title, unclear images or missing attributes can make a good product look like a risky choice.
Our marketplace work focuses on the parts you control: clear listings, compliant content, sensible advertising and catalogues that stay accurate across every platform you sell on. For Amazon, we offer a dedicated Amazon listing and marketing service.
Choosing the right mix of marketplaces
Not every platform suits every business. A rough guide:
- Flipkart reaches a broad national audience for branded and everyday products, with its own ads platform and fulfilment options.
- Meesho is built around value-focused shoppers, often in smaller towns, and suits categories where price matters most.
- Category marketplaces such as Myntra for fashion, Nykaa for beauty and JioMart for grocery and essentials can make sense where your products and approvals fit their curation.
- IndiaMART works differently: it generates B2B enquiries rather than orders, so a complete catalogue and fast replies matter more than ads.
- Daraz is a leading marketplace in several South Asian countries, relevant for businesses we support through our South Asia work.
Running several marketplaces without the chaos
Multi-marketplace operations fail on small details: a price change made on one platform but not another, a variation missing from one catalogue, stock that sells out on a busy channel. We keep a single product master — names, attributes, images, prices and stock rules — and map it to each marketplace’s template. Bulk upload files are used wherever platforms support them, and updates follow an agreed schedule with your team.
How to judge marketplace performance
Revenue alone can hide problems. We compare platforms on sales after commission and fees, advertising cost as a share of sales, conversion rate by listing, return and cancellation reasons and stock availability. A platform that sells well only when ads are running is a different problem from one that converts poorly whatever the traffic.
Compliance comes first
Every marketplace has detailed policies on listings, images, claims, pricing and reviews. We work within them: no fake or incentivised reviews, no misleading claims and no tactics that put your account at risk. Policy warnings, inactive listings and customer complaints are flagged to you early, with a plain explanation of what the marketplace is asking for. Decisions about appeals or changes to your business details remain yours.
Marketplaces bring traffic but set the rules and take a commission, so many brands also run their own store. Our e-commerce development service can build it, with analytics and reporting set up so you can compare every channel clearly.
Pricing: Marketplace work is usually a one-time listing project, a monthly management engagement, or both. Marketplace fees and ad spend are paid directly to each platform. Book a free audit to review your listings.
Flipkart, Meesho & Other Marketplaces: common questions
Have a different question? Ask us directly.
Who owns the seller accounts?
You do. Every seller account is registered in your business's name with your documents, GST details and bank account. We work through user access you grant, where the marketplace supports it, and you can remove our access at any time. We do not open accounts in our own name on your behalf.
Which marketplace should we start with?
It depends on your category, price point and customers. Flipkart suits a wide range of branded products, Meesho tends to suit value-focused categories, and IndiaMART suits B2B enquiries. We usually recommend getting one or two platforms right before expanding, so catalogue and stock management stay under control.
Can you get my products more ratings and reviews?
We do not buy, incentivise, swap or write reviews. That breaks marketplace policies and can get listings or accounts suspended. We can make product information clearer so expectations are met, use any official review programmes the platform offers, and monitor feedback so problems are fixed quickly.
Can you guarantee sales or top placement?
No. Sales and placement depend on your product, price, competition, stock and ratings as well as the listing, and each marketplace decides its own rankings. We aim to make listings clear, compliant and easy to find, and to run ads efficiently against your margins, but we cannot promise specific results.
Do you handle warehousing and shipping?
No. Fulfilment is handled by you or by the marketplace's own logistics or fulfilment programme. We can explain the options and help configure the settings in your account, but we do not store or ship products ourselves. Delivery performance still affects your ratings, so we flag late-shipment and cancellation issues early.
